The Great Ayton Discovery Centre is a welcoming community hub, library, tourist information centre, arts and crafts gallery and much more. We have a variety of services, clubs and activities including a jigsaw loan service!
We have a welcoming children's area stocked with arts and crafts supplies. Our children's area was refurbished in 2018. We have lots of different books for a range of different ages.
We have a massive range of second hands books too, plus a local artist gallery stocked with a range of different crafts and artwork. Perfect to while away a rainy day!

Is there car parking at the centre?
There is car parking available directly outside the centre; however, this is not managed by us and spaces cannot be guaranteed. Additional parking is available to the rear of the centre, but availability is also not guaranteed, and vehicles parked in this area are left at the owner’s own risk.
Is the centre accessible?
The centre is fully accessible to all users. A ramp is available at the front entrance, along with automatic doors to provide ease of access. All areas of the centre are wheelchair accessible, and there is an accessible toilet equipped with a baby changing table.

Centre opening times:
Monday: CLOSED
Tuesday: 10:00am-4:00pm
Wednesday: 10:00am-4:00pm
Thursday: 10:00am-4:00pm
Friday: 10:00am-4:00pm
Saturday: 10:00am-3:00pm (From 1:00pm library services are limited.)
Sunday: CLOSED
